Bill’s House honors the legacy of

Dr. William Gerace (1941-2022)

Bill Gerace was a distinguished professor of Physics at the University of North Carolina Greensboro who retired in 2021.

He dedicated his life to teaching and mentoring students, and he opened his home to many, many students who lived under his guidance across his 50 year career as a Physics educator. 

Bill’s House provides temporary housing for International Students and Researchers in Greensboro, NC

IFGI recognizes that access to safe and stable housing is a foundation for a sustainable and meaningful life. To this end, we have established BILL’S HOUSE – a temporary home for international students, faculty, and researchers in Greensboro, NC.

Bill’s house is located near downtown Greensboro, NC with easy accessibility to the campuses of UNCG, Greensboro College, NC A&T SU, Bennett College, Elon Law School, and Guilford College.

Greensboro is home to 6 colleges and universities, and hosts international students, visiting faculty, faculty on international exchange, Fulbright scholars, and other students / faculty / researchers who teach, learn, and contribute to their field of study. We are delighted to be able to offer reduced-fee housing to those who need it to pursue their educational dreams.
