Supporting Future Innovators Through Robotics

Inventions for Good, Inc. (IFGI) proudly sponsors five robotics teams in Greensboro, North Carolina, through ECG Robotics, a student-led nonprofit that welcomes students from across Guilford County to compete in the FIRST Tech Challenge and FIRST Robotics Competition.

By supporting these teams, IFGI helps students gain hands-on experience in STEM—science, technology, engineering, and math—while building skills in teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving. Robotics gives young people confidence, opportunity, and a pathway to future careers in technology and innovation.

Beyond the classroom, these programs strengthen our community by connecting students, mentors, and families around creativity and learning.

 

Through robotics, IFGI invests in the next generation of innovators who will design solutions that make life better for others.

2025-2026: DECODE presented by RTX

  • Team Q&A Opens: September 22, 2025
  • Earliest Official Events (Meets and Qualifying Tournaments): As early as October 27, 2025, depending on the local region’s schedule.
  • Dean’s List Award Nominations Close: December 15, 2025

  • District and Regional Events (Regular Season): Early March through mid-April 2026

    • Week 1 Competitions: March 4–8, 2026
    • Week 2 Competitions: March 11–15, 2026
    • Subsequent events run weekly through mid-Apri
  • District Championships: Various dates between late March and mid-April 2026
